Born in Lyons, Kansas, KS Revivo was raised in a midwestern Christian hamlet and had little experience with other cultures. She was, however, raised to value inclusivity and acceptance. As an adult, she eagerly seeks to educate herself about other traditions.
Revivo studied at Saint Mary’s of Notre Dame and Columbia College Chicago where she received a BA in Contemporary Art in 2004. One impactful experience as a student was a summer study abroad program in Denmark for furniture design and architectural studies and subsequent tour around Europe. International travel and cross-cultural study continues to be a major influence and inspiration in her work.
In 2020 Revivo Studio was created in Los Angeles, California. The studio creates works that are a part of the historical record, exploring current socio-political themes. Revivo pieces challenge the status quo and aim to have people think about the world in a new way to gain freedom, understanding and healing.
Since her first solo show in 2006 in Chicago, Revivo has shown her work at galleries in London, New York, Santa Fe, Mobile, Toronto, Miami, Los Angeles and most recently, Shanghai.
From 2006-2009 she and co-creator Nicole Rogers received grant funding for their project Before I Die I Want To…that enabled them to harness their passion for art, photography, psychology and sociology and train teams of creatives to expand the project to multiple countries.
During this same time period, Revivo also created poetic collages from antique Parisian maps and “Trash Wallpaper” from various municipal parking tickets, train tickets, cigarette butts, paint, glue and board. Both of these series sold in their entirety to private collectors.
Revivo converted to Judaism after meeting the man who would become her husband and spent the next ten years focused on raising her two daughters. At her conversion ceremony, the rabbi gave her the Jewish name Tikva, which means “hope,” signifying for her the desire for a better world and deep change for her children and the children of all cultures.
Revivo Studio is based in Los Angeles.

I literally love your work! It's so fun, and playful with a cheeky political edge. By far the most exciting work I have seen whilst reviewing all the portfolios! I love that you invited your children to be part of the creative process. Amazing, love it!
Relevant, contemporary and environmentally friendly too...( you picking up garbage and using found objects!).

Your collage techniques are eye catching and the use of repetition, crowding and pattern have a strong impact. I like the 1950s retro/vintage ad aesthetic in some of the pieces and the theatrical collaging has a lot of potential.

I love how you are taking vintage, or discarded imagery and breathing new life into it. I do very much appreciate the political slant in these works. I think your manipulation of materials is outstanding, and I love the variety in your compositions, especially when they surprise. "Defund the Police" is visually stunning.
